They arrived in the mail. They are beautiful. Finally. All those hours I spent were worth it. All those hours I spent designing books while I drank too much coffee…ok, ok, any maybe some wine too. And maybe it also required some desperate phone calls to my bestie, Bethany, who had to talk me down from the ledge and tell me that it would all be worth it. Thanks Bethany. And just like always, it WAS worth it. TOTALLY WORTH IT. Two years ago I read a blog post that inspired me. It said that mother’s are the “memory keepers” of their families. It said that if we won’t remember, who will? I want to remember. I want to remember the funny little things they say when they pray. I want to remember exactly what Coco was like at two. OK maybe I want to forget that sometimes but I will totally want to remember it in 5 years. I want to remember Emmy’s first day of preschool and Easton’s first time to ride the bus. I want to remember her first trip to New York CIty and his first basketball game and yes, even Coco’s scream. I want to remember it all. So I blog. Then I turn my blog into a book. And when my kids are all grown and I want to remember, these books will help me. I will look at them and I will remember all the laughter, all the tears, all the memories, all the growth, all the change. I will remember it all. I will be our memory keeper. So here they are…. my 2010 & 2011 blog to books. You can find a tutorial from the last blog to book I did here. This year I made some changes that I would highly recommend. I did the large landscape book from blurb and I also did an image wrapped cover. SO. WORTH. IT. I love. And they love too. And that makes me happy.
Apparently it makes Coco and little momma very happy too…….
