These brownies once sold for $200 at a church auction, thus the name C.C.’s $200 brownies. I highly recommend partaking in these while warm, preferably with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients
2 packages (21.2 Oz. Size) Hershey’s Triple Chocolate Chunk Brownie Mix (See Note)
1 cup Oil
4 whole Eggs
¼ cups Water
3 whole (6.8 Oz. Size) Symphony Bars (See Note)
Note: You can buy the Hershey’s Triple Chocolate Chunk Brownie Mix in bulk at Sam’s if you are from good old Oklahoma. If not, try to find something similar with chocolate chunks in the mix. It is VERY important. The Symphony bars are found on the candy aisle at most grocery stores. They are large, thick Symphony bars for baking.
Mix the packages of brownie mix with the oil, eggs, and water. Layer HALF of the brownie mix on the bottom of a greased 9×13 pan.
Layer all of the Symphony bars on top of the brownie mix that you have poured in the bottom of the pan. Finally, layer the remaining half of the brownie mix on top of the Symphony bars.
Baking time is VERY important. I bake mine on convection bake at 300ºF for 45 minutes. If you like them firmer, cook them for 50 minutes. If you are not using a convection oven, the temperature would need to be adjusted to 325ºF.
Let cool thoroughly before cutting and serving, or serve them hot out of the oven with a big scoop of ice cream on them if you are feeling extra sinful. This is seriously the best quick and easy recipe for brownies. Enjoy!
